    During the day, most visitors opt to see the temples of Bangkok and shop in its many markets and malls. When night falls, Patpong is probably known as the center of Bangkok’s “entertainment”. For those looking for more family-friendly options, here is a list of some of the must-watch shows in Thailand’s capital.

    1) Siam Niramit

    Shown daily at 8PM at the Thailand Cultural Center, the Siam Niramit show is a great introduction to Thai culture and practices. This show also boasts of being awarded by the Guinness Book of Records as the show that utilizes the highest stage. Special effects are guaranteed to be enjoyed by the whole family.

    Before the show, guests also have the option of visiting the miniature Thai Village within the complex and watching demonstrations about traditional handicrafts.

    Tickets are available for as low as THB 1200.

    2) Joe Louis’ Puppet Theatre

    Located in the Suan Lum Night Bazaar, this show is a great option for tourists who plan on doing some shopping in this lively night market. The show features the traditional art of Thai puppetry and is highly recommended to those who want to learn more about the country’s culture. An exhibit on Thai puppetry is also available for viewing on-site before or after the show. Shows run nightly at 8PM. Tickets are available for as low was THB 550.

    3) Calypso Ladyboy Show

    Of course, the Bangkok experience may not be complete without watching one of the ladyboy shows. The Calypso Ladyboy Show at the Asia Hotel, however, is one that is wholesome and suitable for all members of the family. Children are allowed! Shows run at 8:15 and 9:45 every evening and cost around THB 600.
